Not much has changed in the world of Karate Party since last update, except Juan's infatuation with Twitter, a SMS accessible micro blogging site (his name is rather obvious) and a broswer based game, Ikariam. Content has therefore been rather lacking during this period for which we apologise. This will be addressed soon!
Possible Exile.ru closure
Ten years ago this Juan first came across a kind of fucked up little "ezine", as they were sort of known back then, called Exile. Filled with weird, often disturbing articles and rants on Russia, Moscow and various international events the Exile provided an amusing alternative media sources, sort of like what the Internet first promised.
Now it may be out of business for good, due to the latest of many run ins with the local authorities, or perhaps this is yet another foolish pre-emptive eulogy. TIME WILL TELL
Karate Party continues our tradition of reviewing the New Zealand International Film Festival and as in previous years we will give you the low down dirty, care of a selection of Wellington’s great and good, as defined by the KP crew.
The Festival will begin its annual circuit on July the 10th in Auckland then finishing in Napier on the 26th of November. We encourage you to take a look at their website, they have an online programme diary that interested parties can customise if they are determined.
