World War II, what a war that was. The good guys were good, the bad guys were really bad. The vehicles ruled, and the fashions were great. Will we ever have another war that inspires so many great films?

Probably not. These days every war seems to be fought in a moral quagmire. And while moral quagmire war films are fine, every film about the current wars will have to be one. No more two-fisted, gun-toting, flag-waving propaganda pieces. No more jovial service comedies. And that's a damn shame.
