"Packaging exactly the same as the other Mexicano Chips. That’s pretty slack."
"I like these chips quite a lot, but they don’t really taste cheesy at all. No sprinkles whatsoever, which is a nice change."
"Dipability: Good, which is kind of rare for an (allegedly) flavoured chip."
"Sorta pricey, but I say they’re worth it."
"Their distinct lack of cheesiness makes this a bag of lies, but it’s a good lie. Like Jesus."

"They taste of nothing, but in a different way than Mexicano Natural tasted of nothing. They have a good texture, but are they cheese flavoured? Certainly not."
"They’re strong enough for dipping, but again taste of nothing."
"Mexicano corn chips seem to be packaged and priced to be high brow. They only thing stopping them achieving this is that they suck real bad."

"Slogan- "naturally the best" the corn chip for the intellectual shopper. These had a slightly budget look designed to enhance the focus on chip appeal. Combined with the pun in the slogan, this provided a subtle, yet appealing package"
"Mexicano texture is great. Cheese powder is also tasty."
"Round but with a curve, the perfect dipping combo."
"My favourite so far- now in cheese flavour."
"7 out of 7 definitely Root’s recommendation from all the chips I tried."

"Unlike most corn chips, you can really taste the corn with these. Spicy, but not overpowering. Maybe even a little bland."
"Dipability: Mine broke off in the mince."
"GM free, if you care. I wish they could have engineered some taste."

"An instructional drawing of what corn looks like on the front. A clear window reveal that not many chips in there are broken."
"Like a lot of chips this gives the feel of having eaten chilli without the taste."
"Dipability: Didn’t break, but tasted bad with everything."
"A bit pricey, a bit crap."
"These chips were made without any salt, additives, or preservatives. Maybe they should start using some.""Yet another chip I will never bother eating again."

"Bland but strong chip"
"Mince and bean: Aftertaste dominates mince flavour. Guacamole: Jalapeno dominates. Salsa: flavours cancel each other out."

"Not bad. Made for dipping or if you just want a good, plain chip."
"Dipability: Very good. Whatever you dip it into will taste better."
"I like these chips. Eat them without prejudice."

"Something about the Mexicano packaging exudes stodginess."
"A natural chip that’s indistinguishable from some of the flavoured chips in the survey."
"Mexicano chips are pretty strong. But since this doesn’t have a distinct flavour you really need good (i.e. not out of a jar) dips."
"A good solid natural corn chip, why you would ever want that I don’t know."
Root
Score: 6.5 out of 7
Rank: 2 of 19
"The Mexicano range got my personal packaging award for a couple of reasons. 1> it’s nice, but not like it’s trying to be a substitute for actual chip quality. 2> the clear part on the front lets you see exactly how many pieces the careless packers at the supermarket have left you chips in."
"These chips were the best for texture, they had a consistent inconsistency that gave them a home made feel- very authentic."
"Dipability: Was originally sceptical about round shape, but turned out to be stable dipper."
"My favourite chip of the day- the Mexicano range was my clear winner, and this natural flavour was my favourite for dipping."

"A box. The foil bag inside the box is hard to open, according to Monkey Hands Finger_Of_DOOM."
"Really greasy and doughy. Tastes like cooking oil. These are really meant to be nacho chips, so maybe we shouldn’t be eating them straight … but these are foul."
"Dipability: They’re solid enough, but the oil will probably get in your dip. Why risk it?"Don’t cook them, burn them!!"
Mandroid3000
Score: 3 out of 1000
Rank: 36 of 37
"These are the only ones to come in a box, which seems to indicate (I’m not sure why) that they’re for cooking and not snacking. The chips look really processed, a bland off-white."
"No discernible taste, but an otherworldly texture. They kind of break up into a strange doughy paste."
"Well, whatever the hell holds these monsters together stops the chips from breaking when dipped. The box claims that these are "ideal for nachos". But any cow whose mince was used on top of these could justifiably come back and haunt the Old El Paso factory."
"$1.25 for 100 grams. A fucking rip off. But I guess they’re aimed at the Stupid Mum market, who’ll feed their kids shit, but only if it’s packaged like sensible food."
"I’m still trying to decide what the taste of these chips is. I feel the answer is locked somewhere deep in my mind, perhaps in a long-suppressed nightmare…"
"3 out of 1000. Awful, worse even than the organic chips. I yearn to return to a time before I ate these."

"Foil is good. Something about the Pam’s packaging says ‘Budget brand desperately trying to appear classy’. Like a dog with a monocle."
"Shocking aftertaste. Tastes like I cut my lip. I don’t get the ‘BBQ’ claims – it just tastes generally spicy."
"Value for Money: Not great. You can’t charge premium price for budget chips."
"A very shitty chip."

"The package looks like it was patterned after an 80s leisure suit."
"In what way is this a BBQ flavour? It doesn’t taste like BBQ sauce. Bah."
"Nice at first, then the BBQ aftertaste kicks in, as does the regret."
"They have written "mexican" without a capital m on the packet. How insulting."
"Rubbish."
Juan Incognito
Score: High Three
Rank: 21= of 27
"Three colour bag, orange, yellow and purple, which clash. Silly Mexican village is silly."
"Pleasantly triangular chip. Strong BBQ taste, with weird aftertaste."
"Guacamole: Does not go well. Salsa: ok. Sour cream: bleah. Mince and bean: best of the lot, but still nothing special"
