 Godzilla, Mecha Godzilla, Rodan. Damn is it satisfying to see them lay waste to Tokyo again and again. Imagine how rich the construction industry in Tokyo is. I gotta get in on that racket.
If Japan wants to get out its economic slump, maybe it should pull a cross between Toho Studio's famous reptile and FDR's New Deal. No one needs a thousand horseradish silos, but rebuilding them and smashing them again and again is bound to stimulate the economy somehow. More chance of that happening than the Postal Service being privatised.
