PIRATES

There are two things Mandroid3000 would rather be than a robot from the future: either a charming drunk or a pirate. Of these, being a pirate comes first as some of them were no doubt charming drunks. And even if they weren’t, a charmless drunk pirate can hold his head up high on the morning after in a way an IT staffer can’t after the office Christmas party.

But to actually play the pirate in real life would make us look like that role players I sometimes see in the woods when I’m walking Claude. The intended effect is not achieved. It is sometimes achieved in movies. Sometimes. Here’s a list of movies that make the attempt.
