The Fijian coup drama of the last few weeks has been an interesting time, sometimes a little surreal, sometimes confusing, but always repugnant. So what separates us from such activity? We do not arbitrate power based on a threatened application of force. We do not threaten the safety of the Commodore’s NZ based family. This is what makes democracy and liberalism precious. We know we could be bastards, yet we do not act on this potential. Of course this talk of coups and the like should not detract from a significant milestone in Karate Party’s history, we have now reviewed 250 films. To celebrate this we are thinking of composing an emo poem in honour of the reviewer. This will require some thoughtful composition on our part, and a special editorial working party has been commissioned.
