The Copyright Amendment Bill introduced last week to Parliament is increasingly seeming like “the worst kind of crap” to quote the CEO. Not only are we importing the worst aspects of the DCMA in terms of TDM protection, we are trading this for extremely weak form shifting rights. So we get a two year window where people can copy music to their ipod, assuming they don’t contract out of the right, or violate TDM, woot?
