20 Questions for May 2007 Written by Mandroid3000 Roughly every thrity days another months passes, and so it is was with the month of April 2007. Showing absolutely no resolve to hang around, it buggered off, requiring me to scrape the salty barnacles from my brain and post them here in the form of 20 Questions. (Actually, you doubled up on questions several times – Ed.) 1 - How many different animal species in the world are capable of raising a human baby into an adult? 2 - Why, when I imagine a future era of robotic oppression, do I assume that the robots will be cool with me and let me do whatever I want? 3 - One day, will my posting of the above question mean that I'm seen as a possible collaborator with the robot oppresors and be put to death by resistance fighters (in an old arcade between the Pacman and Asteroids machines)? 4 - Right now is that Google Computer Brain scanning this article and adding me to its secret list of future allies? 5 - Would I be valued by the robot uprising as a dining companion tutor (I happen to be one of the world's finest lunch companions)? 6 - Does everyone else realise that no one would watch a robotic sports tournament, because taking the human element out of athletic competitions turns them into the mechanically meaningless exercises that they are? 7 - Will it ever be fashionable to bury bodies of celebrities in the foundations of houses for the purposes of adding character and talking points? 8 - Do you think that if you killed a lot of people it would make you more scared or less scared of ghosts? 9 - You know the elevator in my apartment building? How did that tile in the floor get so badly cracked, and is it dangerous to stand on it? 10 - How low is the percentage of people in the world (ignoring language problems) that you would rather listen to talk than just listen to yourself think? 11 - Do you ever enjoy a movie, and intend on reccomending it to your friends, but were watching it with a restless desire for it to hurry up and end? 12 - In twenty years will geek culture in general be so self-referential and impossible for newcomers to penetrate that it will be the sole presrve of people born between 1975 to 1990 who will endlessly wax lyrical about the days when their interests dominated the Hollywood movie production slate? 13 - Would a workable strategy to save a dying language be to have an alien race on Star Trek speak it? 14 -Are there any specific moves that go into a boogaloo? And is an electric boogaloo a different dance or a boogaloo preformed with exceptional skill and spirit? 15 - When is the 30th anniversary of "Ice Pirates"? 16 - Will anyone ever discover another human body part? 17 - Do you think that the people who produce or watch house renovation shows are wasting their lives in a more egregious manner? 18 - Would you watch a show called “I Punch Your House”? Because I'd make it. 19 - Why would you hire a huge string section to play behind your rock band when you could get a whole jazz big band for a similar price? 20 - Who wouldn't rather hear Guns 'N' Roses perform “November Rain” backed by the Brian Setzer Orchestra? |
