Karate Party has long been a friend of the oppressed everywhere so we welcome the Spanish Parliament’s passage of a law to revisit the dictatorship of Franco. The law will expunge evidence of him and his reign from public facilities as well as overturn the show trials that legitimated many of his executions (and perhaps other things too, we can’t read Spanish though☹). This guy has been long identified as one of the major jerks of the 20th century and only really escaped popular/international censure due to WW2 and the Cold War. His brutal rise, then exercise of power was accompanied by tens of thousands of murders. To call him a jerk is almost a disservice to jerks everywhere. It is long since past the time that Spain revisited his legacy and judged him.
Just in case you thought that we’d gone all serious and emo, here is Johnny Cash singing Thunderball. Not that this song made it onto the movie, but it was meant to, which has to be worth something, right? Thanks to the Mandroid for his keen music eye.
Oh and some people are real jerks, even in fires. So go easy this Guy Fawkes Night.
