People like to make money while taking the minimum risk – that is why we get so many film  sequels, why some authors turn a shit idea for a single novel into a shit idea for three or more and why we now have a tv series based on the Terminator films . Now before I go any further I'll acknowledge that this show could be good, it could be entertaining, it could be popular. But I don't give a fuck, because its taken something that I like and whored it out in the hope of making more cash. The writers will, by necessity have to totally mess with the original story (how else can you keep a series going?) and timeline and yet another nice thing will be slightly tarnished. My internet tears will keep dripping on my keyboard and the world will move on.
